Lisa and Jason have spent over 25 years chasing the road less travelled. Since going full-time in 2014, the British-born duo have explored 53 countries across six continents – calling their 2015 Toyota Hilux 2.5L Turbo Diesel, Rhino, home along the way.
Their Alu-Cab setup changed everything. With the ModCAP Family Camper, they’ve found a new rhythm on the road: warm, weather-ready and free of fuss.
Lisa affectionately calls the upper bed space “the mezzanine” – a bright, insulated loft wrapped in bug mesh and blackout panels. Down below, the Shadow Awning acts as a quick-deploy porch, offering instant shade or storm cover depending on Mother Nature’s mood.
Right now, they’re exploring the American West. Soon, they’ll head up to the Arctic Ocean, then down through South America, eventually reaching Africa and Europe. For them, overlanding isn’t just about distance. It’s about freedom, connection and learning who you are when everything else is packed into a vehicle and the horizon keeps moving.
The build
