For more than fifteen years, XOVERLAND has documented journeys that test vehicles and gear. Push the limits of human endurance. And deepen bonds while leaving an indelible mark on everyone involved. Now, they’re about to share their most ambitious trip yet – Milestones: Global Expedition.
The ten-part series follows the XOVERLAND team across three continents, covering over 25,000 miles of the most demanding terrain on Earth. Beginning March 26, 2026, new episodes drop weekly on YouTube and Prime Video, offering an intimate, cinematic look at what it truly takes to pull off a modern global expedition.
As longtime followers of the overland community know, XOVERLAND doesn’t just point a camera at a convoy and call it a day. They live the journey. And this time, the stakes and the story are bigger than ever.

A Route Defined by Milestones
The Milestones Expedition was designed to connect the farthest geographic edges of three continents. The route began in Bozeman, Montana, and pushed east to Cape Spear, Newfoundland, the easternmost point of North America. After crossing the Atlantic, the team navigated through Europe, making their way to the Lofoten Islands and Nordkapp, the northernmost drivable point on the continent. From there, they turned south, carving through alpine passes like Switzerland’s legendary Furka Pass before shipping to Africa.
The final leg of the expedition started in Tangier, Morocco, and stretched west to Pointe des Almadies, Senegal, the westernmost tip of mainland Africa, before plunging south across the equator to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of the continent. In total, the team visited 35 countries, spent 126 days on the road, and logged 26,739 miles.
But as anyone who has spent time in the driver’s seat knows, the real story isn’t just about the miles. It’s about what happens between them.

More Than Distance
Milestones: Global Expedition captures those in-between moments with breathtaking cinematography and deeply personal storytelling. Mechanical failures in remote deserts. Long days behind the wheel. Longer lines at border crossings. The quiet weight of leadership, the friction of tight quarters (although we helped with that by fitting their fleet with our roomy ModCAP Family Camper) and the unbreakable bonds forged through shared hardship.
The series follows up on the previous Spirit of Adventure and promises even more adventure.
From the intense shakedown at XOVERLAND Ranch before departure, to navigating Nigeria’s complex logistics and crossing Cameroon’s “red zone” with a military convoy, every episode reveals the resilience required to keep moving forward. Viewers witness team member rotations, cultural shifts and moments where the entire expedition’s timeline hung in the balance. Threatened by bureaucracy, political instability and the sheer unpredictability of overland travel on a global scale.
Through it all, the team of thirteen dedicated explorers, filmmakers and crew members remained focused on telling an authentic story of exploration. Three members – Clay Croft, Cyrus Croft and Peter van Stralen – completed all three phases of the expedition, embodying the commitment that defines the XOVERLAND ethos.

A Partnership Built for the Long Haul
No expedition of this scale succeeds on passion alone. It requires trusted partners who understand the unique demands of global overland travel. That’s why we’re especially proud to return as a key collaborator for Milestones: Global Expedition.
A cornerstone of the overland community, we're known for engineering solutions that stand up to the world’s harshest environments. From rugged canopies to expedition-proven campers and rooftop tents, Alu-Cab products are trusted by overlanders on every continent. We're proud to ensure that the Expedition Overland team could travel safely, stay organized, and focus on capturing the story.
Our partnership is one rooted in shared values of durability, capability and a commitment to enabling genuine adventure. And it’s one we’re excited to see highlighted throughout the series.

The Fleet
The expedition relied on three purpose-built vehicles, each serving a distinct role in the convoy:
Legion – A 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter (6-foot bed) serving as the lead truck, carrying navigators and personal gear, sleeping two.
Spartan – A 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter (5-foot bed). This is equipped with a galley and a production office. Spartan sleeps four.
Roman – A 2025 Toyota Tundra (6.5-foot bed). Brings up the rear, hauling expedition gear, tools, spare parts and a Mobil 1 test kit. Nimble and capable, Roman sleeps two.
These three rigs were pushed to their limits across arctic tundra, West African roads and high-altitude alpine passes.
