Where The Tar Ends

 Where The Tar Ends
2 Min read

A borrowed Hilux, a quiver of nine surfboards and a strike mission to the Mozambican Tropics or where the tar ends.

Somewhere north of the everyday, an overland trip unfolds along the coast of Southern Africa. A couple of good friends, a loaded rig, and a hunt for one of the most fickle sandbanks on the continent. When it turns on, it really turns on: warm water, empty lineups, tube after tube peeling down an African super bank with no one around to see it but you.

This is the good stuff. Sun-drunk mornings and salt-crusted afternoons. Fish pulled fresh from the water. Music drifting out of the camp as the light goes gold. Locals who greet you like family and a coastline so alive it feels dialled to another dimension. Whales on the horizon, reef glowing beneath you, the kind of beauty that makes you pinch yourself before the next set rolls in.

None of it happens without the right setup. The ModCAP Camper made the surf safari better. This is what it looks like when you’re fully kitted, living out of your vehicle, and free to chase the swell wherever it lands. Press play, turn it up, and see why we build what we build.

Alu-Cab. Go further. Stay longer. Score.
